CommunityDesk

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

These terms govern your use of CommunityDesk. By creating an account or connecting a social account, you agree to them. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.

The service

CommunityDesk reads the comments and replies on the accounts you connect, sorts them, groups them into discussions, and drafts reply suggestions in your voice.

Ordinary reply drafts wait for your approval. CommunityDesk does not compose and send an ordinary reply on its own.

The explicit messaging automation is a keyword campaign, you write the message in advance and choose the keyword that triggers it. When someone comments that keyword, CommunityDesk sends the campaign without asking again. If you enable personalization or a public confirmation, CommunityDesk may generate that configured campaign response from your base message. Campaigns are off until you create one, and you can stop one at any time.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information, and you represent that you have the authority to connect each account you connect, to grant the permissions CommunityDesk requests, and to authorize CommunityDesk to act on that account. If you connect an account belonging to a company or client, you represent that you are permitted to do so on their behalf.

Connected platforms

When you connect a platform, you authorize CommunityDesk to access it within the permissions you grant, and to take the actions described above. What CommunityDesk can do differs by platform:

  • Instagram and Facebook. Read comments, post replies you approve, hide comments you choose to hide, and send the messages in campaigns you create.
  • X. Read-only. CommunityDesk never posts on X.
  • Steam. Read-only. CommunityDesk reads public reviews and never writes anything.

Your use of those platforms remains subject to their own terms, and you are responsible for complying with them. You can disconnect any platform at any time, which stops all further access to it.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content and data you give CommunityDesk and the content CommunityDesk reads from your connected accounts. You grant us a limited licence to access, store, process, and display it for one purpose: running the service for you and carrying out the actions you authorize.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your community’s content to train third-party AI models. Our Privacy Policy describes exactly what is stored, what is sent to our AI providers, and what happens when you delete your account.

Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance for each billing period. You authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for the plan you choose and any applicable taxes.

There is no overage and no usage bill. Each plan includes a monthly number of interactions CommunityDesk will read. If you reach it, CommunityDesk pauses reading new comments and tells you, rather than charging you more. Comments still arrive and are still stored; your campaigns, blocklists, and approved replies keep running. Upgrading is a decision you make on purpose, never one you discover on a statement.

Blocklists are creator-configured automated moderation instructions. If you set a matching term to remove, CommunityDesk may delete matching comments from a connected platform as they arrive. That platform action can be irreversible, so you are responsible for reviewing the terms and action you configure.

You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use CommunityDesk to:

  • Send spam, harassment, or unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content.
  • Send unsolicited bulk messages, run repetitive automated replies, or manipulate engagement, whether through campaigns or otherwise.
  • Violate the terms of Instagram, Meta, X, Steam, or any other platform you connect.
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your relationship to an account.
  • Publish content you do not have the rights to use.
  • Interfere with or attempt to abuse the service or its security.

AI-generated content

CommunityDesk uses AI to classify comments, group them into discussions, summarize what a community is talking about, and draft replies. All of it can be wrong. Classifications can be miscategorized, summaries can be incomplete or misleading, and drafts can be inaccurate or inappropriate.

You are responsible for reviewing ordinary reply drafts before they are published, and for reviewing any Campaign message, personalization setting, or blocklist rule before enabling its automatic action. We do not guarantee that any classification, summary, or draft is accurate or complete. CommunityDesk is a tool to assist your judgment, not a replacement for it.

Services we depend on

CommunityDesk runs on top of other companies’ platforms and infrastructure, including Meta, X, Steam, our hosting and database providers, our AI providers, and our payment processor. Their availability, features, permissions, and policies can change without notice to us. We are not responsible for outages, API changes, rate limits, permission changes, or account actions taken by those platforms, and a change on their side may change or interrupt what CommunityDesk can do.

CommunityDesk is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Instagram, Facebook, X Corp., or Valve.

Availability and disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill, or business interruption, arising from or relating to the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or relating to the service or these terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Your responsibility to us

You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and costs arising from your use of the service in breach of these terms, your violation of the law or of anyone else’s rights, your connecting an account you were not authorized to connect, or content you provided or told CommunityDesk to publish.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using CommunityDesk and delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account removes it and its data as described in our Privacy Policy, and cancels any subscription.

We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms, if payment fails, if a connected platform revokes or restricts our access, if an account appears compromised, or if continuing to provide the service would create a legal or security risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date at the top, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
